Its full floral character belongs to Belles Matières, a collection exploring the geographical origins of fragrance materials and the history of botanical discovery. The composition brings together the richness of jasmine flowers and a softly balsamic foundation. Trudon’s story recalls the Duke of Tuscany bringing jasmine from Arabia to India in 1690. It follows the flower’s place, fresh or dried, in India’s myths, legends and daily rituals. Jasmine sambac scents loose-leaf tea, is braided into floral necklaces and becomes an offering in Hindu temples, giving the fragrance’s inspiration a cultural and spiritual dimension. All four formats are manufactured at Trudon’s workshop in Normandy, drawing on expertise inherited from master candle makers.
