Maduraï by Trudon is a room spray centred on jasmine sambac, with a full floral character and warm resinous depth. It belongs to Belles Matières, a collection exploring the geographic origins of fragrance materials and the history of botanical discovery. Across the collection, that journey encompasses mimosa, Indian jasmine, Calabrian citrus, sandalwood, grapefruit and powdery iris. Trudon’s story recalls the Duke of Tuscany bringing jasmine from Arabia to India in 1690. It traces the flower’s place, fresh or dried, in India’s myths, legends and daily rituals. Jasmine sambac scents loose leaf tea, is braided into floral necklaces and becomes an offering in Hindu temples, giving the inspiration a cultural and spiritual dimension. Fluted glass handmade in Tuscany and a woven pump give the bottle its tactile character. Both carry the deep blue colour associated with the Belles Matières collection.
