Ernesto by Trudon evokes a Havana hotel during the Cuban Revolution, where leather and tobacco mingle with the scent of waxed wood panelling. The cool, dim interior contrasts with the sun outside, while cigar smoke and gun barrels lend the scene a tense atmosphere. Bergamot, grapefruit and rum brighten the composition. Oak wood, clove and resinous labdanum deepen its warm, woody character. The fragrance takes its name from Ernesto Guevara, known as Che Guevara or El Che. Trudon’s narrative recalls the Argentine-born revolutionary as a symbol of the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro, while also highlighting his romantic temperament and love of cigars.
