Xerjoff has chosen the Latin term "Decas", which signifies the tenth and also the decade as the succinct title of his latest XJ 1861 creation. It joins - after a decade - the XJ 1861 collection as an addition to the storied company of Renaissance, Naxos and Zefiro fragrances. Originally released in 2011, all the fragrances in the collection form an enthusiastic and creative homage to the nature, art and culture of their native Italy - and celebrate the anniversary of its existence as a republic. Decas' iconic Xerjoff bottle is adorned with the colours of the Italian flag, which are depicted in different variations on each of the four XJ 1861 fragrances. As in all Xerjoff creations, Decas is made exclusively from carefully selected, high-quality raw materials. They blend in an artfully arranged composition to create a top-class fragrance of special aesthetics.
Floral and lively, Decas' multi-layered composition unfolds. A flash of citrus-sweet mandarin zest, floral tuberose notes and their counterpart of tobacco and tolu balsam, formulated in dark nuances, create a full-bodied, rushing picture. Decas forms into a fascinatingly complex olfactory experience around which the graceful tones of opoponax are softly and smokily layered, accompanied by harmonising powdery tones of a Tuscan iris. An intricate melange brought to a resonant harmony, Decas rests on a lasting, seductive base. Sensual bourbon vanilla and musk perfect Xerjoff's ambitious, masterfully arranged concept, rounding Decas into an elegantly floral, fresh fragrance.
